South Carolina OB GYN’s physicians see patients Monday through Thursday between the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. However, we stop answering our phones 15 minutes before closing each day to complete pending patient requests, coordinate with insurance carriers or referring physician offices, etc.
We are located at 1333 Taylor Street, Suite 2-D, Columbia, SC 29201 (click here to view a map)
Contacting Us By Phone
Our office has three main phone lines to help meet all of our patients' needs:
- Gynecology - (803) 254.1300
Please call this number for
general information, to schedule a gynecology appointment, for prescription requests, etc.
- Obstetrics - (803) 799.BABY (2229)
This is our
“Baby Line” for current OB patients with pregnancy related needs or questions.
- Insurance/Billing - (803) 799.8816
Our office accepts most health insurance plans. Please call this line with your insurance or billing questions and we will do our best to help.
If you have a medical problem or question, it is best to call during our regular office hours of 9 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday and on Fridays before 12:45 p.m. since our staff will have your chart to better serve you. Our staff is well trained and is eager to assist you. If a message is left, either a staff member or a physician will call you back as soon as possible. Please provide us with appropriate phone numbers where you can easily be reached during our office hours. Please be aware that if your phone is “blocked,” we may not be able to return your call.
After Hours Answering Service
Our answering service is only available after hours or when the office is closed. They are highly trained operators but they can only take messages or contact the On Call physician for you. We do not fill prescriptions after hours. If you call after hours and just want to leave a message, you can leave the message on our voice mail. We will respond to your message as soon as possible during our next business hours.
However, if your concern is urgent and you feel you must speak with the On Call physician, then our answering service will page the On Call physician. The answering service will call you back after 30 minutes to confirm whether or not the On Call physician has contacted you. If the On Call physician has not contacted you, the answering service will again page the On Call physician. On rare occasions, the On Call physician may be delivering a baby or resolving another patient’s concern and has been physically unable to contact you as quickly as they normally would.
Our office is closed on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
For more information, please call us at (803) 254.1300 or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are an OB patient of ours, please call our “Baby Line” at (803) 799.BABY (2229). SC OBGYN does not handle medical issues by e-mail. Our professional liability insurance carrier prohibits us from answering questions about medical care and treatment by e-mail.
